Antigua and Barbuda is an independent Commonwealth country comprising its 2 namesake islands and several smaller ones. Positioned where the Atlantic and Caribbean meet, it's known for reef-lined beaches, rainforests and resorts. Its English Harbor is a yachting hub and the site of historic Nelson's Dockyard. In the capital, St. John's, the national museum displays indigenous and colonial artifacts.

Languages: The official language of Antigua and Barbuda is English, which is spoken by the majority of the population. English is used in government, education, and the media, and it is the language of instruction in schools. In addition to English, there are also a number of local dialects spoken in Antigua and Barbuda, including Antiguan Creole, which is a blend of English, African, and other languages. Finally, Spanish is also spoken by some people in Antigua and Barbuda, particularly among those who have immigrated from Latin America and the Caribbean.

Ethnic Groups: The majority of the population of Antigua and Barbuda is of African descent, with smaller numbers of people of European, Asian, and mixed ancestry. The African ancestors of the majority of Antiguans and Barbudans were brought to the islands as enslaved people during the colonial period, and their descendants have formed the majority of the population since that time. There is also a small community of people of European descent, primarily of British and Irish ancestry, in Antigua and Barbuda, as well as smaller numbers of people of Asian and mixed ancestry.
